80 effaced and 2 centimeters dilated

Posted 12-30-14. FTM 38 weeks today. Went to the doctor this morning and was told I was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. Not due till January 13th and was really hoping he could make it till January. Is there a chance for jan birth still?
